Cycling Isn’t Seasonal for These Riders

For some, the bike gear collects dust in a cold garage from November through March, but in last winter’s edition of Door County Living, editors showcased a couple of riders who don’t mind a cool breeze.

Nate Bell, the Sister Bay Village President, turned to cycling to get in shape mentally and physically, and now makes the commute from Sister Bay to Baileys Harbor by bike as much as he can. Then there’s Carl Morrison, “the Legend”, who rode every day for nine years!

These riders are an inspiration on those cold winter days (and the lazy summer mornings!).

Loved the ride! Route was beautiful and very well marked. Rest stops were plentiful and had plenty of food and drink. Loved the ice cold beer and delicious food at the end. I’ll definitely be back!

This year was the third annual excursion for myself and some friends. The ride and beer festival are becoming a tradition for us. Always a great weekend. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
