We’re looking forward to the 2025 event and seeing everyone again!
The ride features four distances covering the beautiful back roads of Door County – 100-mile, a metric century distance (62 miles), 50-mile and 25-mile ride.
Each of the routes begin and end at Horseshoe Bay Farms, just south of Egg Harbor. Support services and rest stops are provided along each route, while a spectacular post-ride party featuring food, beverages and music awaits you at the finish line on the grounds of Horseshoe Bay Farms.
This year’s post-ride meal will feature a meal from local chefs available until 5:30 pm.
The Peninsula Century Spring Classic is organized by the Peninsula Pacers, the group responsible for the success of the Door County Half Marathon & Nicolet Bay 5k, and presented by Door County Living magazine.
Our New Home
The Peninsula Century Spring Classic will have a new home in 2025. After 35 years in Baileys Harbor, the ride will move to the grounds of the historic Horseshoe Bay Farms for the 36th edition on June 14, 2025.
As the ride has grown over the years, space behind the Baileys Harbor Town Hall has grown tighter, and parking more congested as the community has grown busier. The town has been a wonderful home for the ride for more than three decades and we’re thankful for the support from businesses and town staff during our run.
Horseshoe Bay Farms has a unique place in Door County history, as it was once the largest and most innovative farm in the state. Several years ago a nonprofit was formed to steward that history and expand opportunities to use the grounds and learn about its impressive past. We’re excited to partner with them to be part of sharing its story.
More than anything, this change is going to be a great improvement to your experience as a rider. You’ll still experience similar, but new routes and rest stops on your ride up, down, and across the gorgeous Door Peninsula. Meanwhile, your start and finish at the farm will offer on-site parking, less congestion, and a post-ride lunch centered in the ambiance of the historic farm.
Like many of you, this ride is something we are passionate about, and the move away from Baileys Harbor is an emotional one. With that in mind, we are confident that the history the ride has built in Baileys Harbor will be an important part of this new chapter, and we hope you embrace this exciting move with us! We look forward to seeing you on June 14th to celebrate 36 years of Spring Classic riding in Door County!
