Celebrate National Bike Month!

May is National Bike Month, and the Wisconsin Bike Federation has been pushing some great ways to motivate folks to get out and ride.

The League of American Bicyclists and Love to Ride are collaborating on a “Make Every Ride Count” initiative (you can enter to win prizes!).

Bike to work, take the kids to school by bike or organize a bike bus, or just replace one errand run by car with a bike and encourage a friend to join. The more people see us on our bikes, the better chance they see something new is possible.

Because Wisconsin weather can be a little tricky in May, the Bike Fed celebrates Wisconsin Bike Week in early June each year. So after you participate in festivities this month, you can look forward to more June 1-9! Check the Bike Fed’s online event calendar to add or search for “Bike Week” events near you!

Loved the ride! Route was beautiful and very well marked. Rest stops were plentiful and had plenty of food and drink. Loved the ice cold beer and delicious food at the end. I’ll definitely be back!

This year was the third annual excursion for myself and some friends. The ride and beer festival are becoming a tradition for us. Always a great weekend. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
